What is Squared?
Squared is a Saint Louis based furnished housing provider. We provide all-inclusive, furnished short and long term rentals at reasonable rates.
Why book with Squared rather than with a hotel?
Hotels provide you with a small, individual room – better suited for the needs of a guest staying for a single night than for a week, a month, or longer. Squared, on the other hand, provides you with a home. Even our smallest apartments are generally larger than the size of a typical hotel room, while the rates are comparable or sometimes even lower. The kitchen comes chef-ready, with pots and pans, dishes, glasses, utensils, and basic condiments like salt, pepper, and oil provided free of charge. Many of our properties have fenced backyards, ideal for guests with kids or bringing pets. The majority of our apartments have an in-unit washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and oven. All of our rentals feature workspaces with complimentary high-speed internet, and for entertainment, our apartments are equipped with Smart TVs with complimentary Netflix.
Why book a long-term stay with Squared rather than a corporate rental agency?
The short answer is that Squared offers the same quality service that other corporate rental agencies offer at a fraction of the price.
Most corporate rental agencies contract with local apartment management companies to rent on an as-needed basis. This means that when a corporate client requests, for example, 8 apartments for a team of their employees for a 3-month period, the corporate rental agency reaches out to the management companies to arrange for 8 short-term leases. Because the lease term is much shorter than a standard 12-month leasing agreement, the rate paid by the corporate rental agency is also significantly higher, and this inflated rate is passed on to the guest.
Additionally, because they’re providing their rentals on an as-needed basis, it isn’t cost-effective to purchase their own furniture, because as soon as the lease term ended they would then have to pay to have the furnishings moved to either another location or to a (paid) storage location. They instead opt to rent the furnishings from a local furniture rental agency at high, short-term rates, which again is passed on to the guest as a higher rental rate.
Squared, by contrast, holds long-term leases on our properties and owns all of our furniture (or manages properties for homeowners who own the property and furniture). This enables us to offer much more reasonable corporate rental rates than our competition.
What if I don’t know how long I’ll need to stay?
If you haven’t booked yet, contact us prior to sending a reservation request and we can arrange a fluid check-out date. If you’re currently renting from us and would like to extend, please let us know as soon as possible.
Are there any additional fees?
An authorization hold of $395 will be placed on the card used at checkout to cover incidentals, and will be released automatically as long as there is no damage to the property. There are no additional fees except for optional add-on services like pets, extra guests, and parking (when not included in the rate).
Can I bring my pup along?
In most cases yes! Most of our properties allow dogs for a small deposit and additional fee. We generally don’t allow cats, but if you’ll be booking long-term and would like to bring your cat along, please contact us directly prior to booking.
